Dr. Steven Degelsmith
Principal of Conflict Solutions & Consultation, Steve is an
organizational
consultant who works diligently to meet his client's needs. In
addition to his
consulting role, he is an excellent facilitator of groups involved in
resolving conflict,
decision-making, problem-solving or workshop learning. He has
provided consultative
services, including training and facilitation, to businesses and
organizations offering
communication skills, conflict resolution, team development and
management effectiveness,
and stress management. Steve's educational background in
psychological systems,
communications theory, and human dynamics contributes to his expertise
and understanding
of interpersonal and group processes. He is an expert facilitator
of workgroup
discussions involving feedback for improving manager effectiveness.
In addition to his work as a consultant, Steve is an adjunct faculty
member at both
Antioch University and California State University, Northridge. He
is an active
member of the American Society of Training and Development, presently
serving on the Board
of Directors, the Employee Assistance Professional Association and
frequent guest speaker
on topics related to how individuals can increase their effectiveness in
the workplace.
Dr. Degelsmith received his Master's degree in Education from the
University of
Southern California, and his Doctorate in Psychology at the California
Graduate Institute
in Los Angeles. He is also a licensed therapist with a private
practice in the San
Fernando Valley.
